Yes, these are normal reactions. Not fun but it will be so worth it. When going through a detox, people have different experiences based on their bodies, toxicity levels and stress levels. To help with the constipation, please be sure that you are drinking adequate amount of water. If this persists, please see your doctor - there may be other underlying problems.
Please be patient with your body during this time. There is no need to judge any reactions you may be having. You also do not want to push uncomfortable feelings to the side or try to "get rid" of them. The best thing you can do is notice them and send them love and acceptance.
You see, our bodies and our souls are tied together. So often we think they are separate, but they are not. Therefore, when you take on a detox or clean eating plan and start filling it up with loving foods, emotions can change and feelings start to emerge.
Keep in mind you are not only detoxing toxic substances from your liver, your gut, kidneys and colon, but your soul will also want to detox and get rid of all the emotions, feelings, and people that have been toxic in your life as well.
Some very normal reactions during this time are:
- Low energy
- Very high energy
- Sleep may be harder or easier
- Vivid dreams
- Crying for no reason
- Thinking about deep things in your past
- Heart racing
- Peace and rest in your body
- Shakiness (Please drink a lot of water and tea)
- Low sex drive
- Higher than normal sex drive
So as you can see, experiences can vary quite a bit.
By day 4, if you have followed the plan with accuracy, most people see massive results! People tend to experience the following:
- More energy
- Weight release
- Sugar cravings subside
- Anxiousness subsides
- More clarity and focus
- Deeper sense of peace
